The Sunday assembly was the Community's most visible practice. It brought people into a room to hear a speaker, listen to live music, ask questions, and stay for conversation. The format was simple enough to repeat and open enough to change with the subject.
Programs were held at the Longy School, 33 Garden Street, Cambridge. When the series was active, the assembly began at 10:30 in the morning. The old site said guests did not need a ticket or an invitation.
The shape of a Sunday
The morning usually began with a welcome and a few opening words. Music framed the speaker's presentation, and the room moved afterward into announcements, a closing, refreshments, and an open question period. The pattern gave the gathering a rhythm without turning it into a fixed liturgy.
Ethical inquiry needs a room, a text, a question, and other people willing to stay with it.
Current status
The Community's most recent public notice reports that Sunday meetings are suspended. This site does not invent a new schedule. The archive remains open, and the contact page is the right place to ask about current arrangements.
