Female genital mutilation (FGM), so-called “honor crimes” sex trafficking, child marriage and radical anti-abortion policies are pervasive throughout the developing world. This presentation will focus on how religious fundamentalism and misogynous cultural traditions influence these practices, and how women and their male allies are fighting to eliminate them.
