In this talk, Erin O’Brien reflects on the challenges inherent in the sports-obsessed culture of the United States. Recently, social issues associated with sports have dominated the news: domestic violence, child abuse, concussions, bullying, and the effect of such issues on young people.  This talk will explore what this means for the larger society.
